The Sons of the Pioneers
1934-2017

For over 80 years the Sons of the Pioneers have been recognized as "the world's premier cowboy singing group" (noted by American Cowboy magazine) starting with Roy Rogers in numerous movies, through major recording contracts and television shows and thousands of live performances all around the world. The Pioneers have enjoyed playing in Branson, Missouri since 1983 and still actively tour on the road.

They have been inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the National Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Western Music Hall of Fame, the Texas Swing Hall of Fame and have their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Their renditions of Tumbling Tumbleweed and Cool Water are in the Grammy Hall of Fame. Today the Sons of the Pioneers are still being recognized as the best in the genre. Last December, True West magazine has just named them 2016 "Best of the West - Best Western Music Group".

Western Music is an art form. Western Music is a unique and truly original North American art form which honours the cowboy, the timeless West, and its culture. The North American Cowboy and the American and Canadian West are images embraced by a large demographic - for as the song says, "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys".

The tenacity and steel willed spirit of the early pioneers was evident through out the entire continent of North America ... east and west! The Pioneers created the genre because they devised a harmony that was very unique and distinctive. It has now become known as "the Pioneer sound". Also, their members have penned a number of the most famous songs of the genre including "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" and "Cool Water".

In recognition of their contributions to the western music art form, the Smithsonian Institute designated them a "National Treasure". "The Sons of the Pioneers are known the world over for their own special arrangements of the western song classics" - Western Music Association. Their iconic harmonies and arrangements are considered the gold standard of the genre.

Successful Concerts leave treasured memories. The show is a two-hour crowd pleaser with classic Sons of the Pioneers' harmonies, and showcases instrumentals of our top notch musicians. There is always a relaxed and off-the-cuff comedic flare to every show. Encores and standing ovations are the norm. They have a popular "meet and greet" autograph session after the show.

Their goal is for everyone to go home with a treasured memory!
